HAVE YOU become aware of the number of music “pro’s” who have taken time off from the studio so that they might advertise a variety of goods on TV? I have.
But I have also recently become aware of similar adverts that are transmitted abroad; perhaps because our pop divas would rather we didn’t see them. And in many cases, I wouldn’t blame them.

WELL, that was a turn up for the books. On hit TV show “Britain’s Got Talent” a rather – and I hope she doesn’t take umbrage – frumpy looking 48-year-old Susan Boyle from our very own Blackburn in West Lothian waddled onto the stage. She could have been anybody’s mum, in her shiny cotton dress and white sling-back sandals.

TECHNOLOGY is a wonderful thing – no, really.
It all started with the briefest snatch of music and one line from a song. It was the soundtrack to a TV commercial for a computer game entitled “Gears of War 2”. Now, it’s not my sort of game, but the 30-seconds of backing music to the trailer really caught my attention. Unfortunately, all I had to go on was one line from the song: “….You already know how this will end.” and a few notes of the melody that stuck in my head. I HAD to know what it was.
